Where and When Do Lessons Take Place?
Our lessons are held at a local training hill in Minnesota, just 15 minutes from the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. Whether you’re earning your P2 Pilot rating or sharpening your skills, our location provides the ideal setting. Lessons run year-round, with the best conditions typically in mid-summer and mid-winter.
Students come from all over—locals within an hour of Minneapolis and out-of-state adventurers from Iowa, Wisconsin, and the Dakotas. Traveling from farther away? Start with a focused three- or four-day visit, where you’ll absorb the basics before heading home to continue practicing. Follow-up lessons can be scheduled at your convenience to keep your progress on track.
What to Expect During Lessons
At SkyBrothers, we tailor lessons to your pace—whether you’re advancing quickly or taking it slow, we’ll make your journey enjoyable and effective. Our students consistently exceed USHPA’s requirements for the P2 rating, gaining skills and experience that go far beyond the basics. By the time you graduate, you’ll be well-prepared for solo adventures, backed by a solid foundation and hands-on experience.
The Fine Print:
Our training is designed for individuals who are financially prepared to purchase equipment when they’re ready. While we strive to make the process enjoyable, flexible, and accommodating, our business model relies on students purchasing their gear through us. Unfortunately, we cannot sustain ongoing training for those who already own equipment or choose to buy it from other sources. If you’re not in a position to invest in gear at the appropriate time, please let us know, and consider waiting until your finances are better aligned with your goals.
Paramotoring is a significant commitment, and we encourage you to ensure your personal and financial affairs are in order before beginning. This includes having the support of your friends and family, maintaining savings, and securing health insurance that covers paramotoring activities. It’s important to invest in high-quality gear when the time comes. If these aspects aren’t in place, it may be best to wait until you’re fully prepared to embark on this exciting journey.
